   राज्यपाल तथा राज्यपाल के कृत्यों का निर्वाह करने वाला हर व्यक्ति यह शपथ लेगा कि वह श्रद्धापूर्वक पद का कार्यपालन करेगा और संविधान एवं विधि का परिरक्षण , संरक्षण और प्रतिरक्षण करेगा ( अनुच्छेद 159 ) .
